Jai Ho!
This is truly the cry that is reverberating in my heart as I sit down to write to you. And the reason is clearly beyond the fact that this is the Oscar-winning song from the much acclaimed Slumdog Millionaire.
The reason is this; as I contemplate the sacred mysteries during this grace-filled season of Lent, I am awed by “the breadth and length and height and depth” (Eph. 3:18) of God’s love and mercy for us in Jesus Christ. Truly greater love has no man than he who lays down his life for his friend (Jn15:13). Jesu Naam Ki Jai Ho!
This month, as we contemplate the precious passion of our Lord in the holy season of Lent, we pray for the coming elections. The prevailing global economic recession and fact that India is struggling with terrorism and communalism (our brethren in Orissa are still being targeted and persecuted – and we continue to pray for them), make it even more critical that we have a stable, secular and sincere government.

If you’ve ever heard the quote:

… then you’ll know exactly how I felt when I met Nick Vujicic for the first time.
I had read & heard about Nick a long time ago through the internet; the email fwds about the boy with arms or legs (usually titled something like “No Arms, No Legs, No Worries”), the occasional youtube video and I had even stumbled upon his site Life Without Limbs.org
I’ll be honest though - nothing prepared me for the miracle that is Nick.
